I'm giving away a free Coast LED Pro Pocket Pliers Multi-tool. At first glance, this might look like a lot of other multi-tools, but check this out: It has TWO built in LED lights! One illuminates the area in front of the pliers, and the other illuminates the area in front of the knife (probably the two most used tools in a multi-tool). This feature makes it great for nighttime camp chores or repairs.

I'd definitely pack them on multi-day climbing trips. Tweaking with gear at night is always a pain without sturdy pliers.
The multi-tool would have multi-functions for me. I would use it during all my camping and backpacking trip. It would also ride with me on all my motorcycle trips. The Pocket Pliers would be very useful on my motorcycle/camping trips. What a great item for my tool kit.
I would place it in my accessory pouch Right now I have a seperate multi-tool and a smal light. this would allow me to roll them into one and give me space for something else.
It would get it's most use while out fishing at night.
I'd use it to free yetis from bear traps.
I will carry it with me everywhere. It would definitely come in handy in case of a zombie apocalypse when I have to pry open an escape hatch open or create a make shift axe in the dark.
I think the LEDs lumintaing the pliers would be really useful for those annoying DIY moments when you need to undo a bolt under the sink, or in a cupboard or beneath something. Usually I use a headtorch but this would be more focused
I took up hiking last year after having open heart surgery at the age of 54. Over the past year I have been getting quality hiking accessories that I will need on the trails. This would be a great addition.
I would definitely carry this with me at all times. Besides hiking, frequently with one of my dogs, I also take bike trips. This would certainly be very helpful in either case if things go wrong in the dark, or in any hard-to-see area. I would love to win this! Thank you for hosting the giveaway.
I would mostly use them on shorter fishing trips in a neck lanyard, would be great for removing hooks, could possibly replace knife if the blade is of good quality. Otherwise they would be a great tool for the toolbox.

Besides carrying it around as a good general tool on all outings, the built in light would come in very handy when I go camping with my sons boy scout troop since they often leave late on a Friday so we wind up setting up camp in the dark.
Finally! - A great nighttime tool for my Cajun relatives to take frog gigging in the swamps of "sOUT LooSeeAnn!"
Not only would I use this on all my camping, backpacking, fishing, and any general out of the house excursion, but i would also use this when i am working in theater (witch i find my self doing almost every week). This tools LED lights would come in handy whenever i need to find a particular object behind the last curtain, and definitly during seen switch when somebody drops something and there is very little, if any light on the stage. The pliers would come in handy when the galley bar tool (a small wrench used to loosen the lock that holds the ropes in the side of the stage) is missing and an object needs to fly immediatly. The knife would not only come in handy when using gaffers tape but would also be used to repair power cables or if need be, an XLR (microphone) cable. As an amateur backpacker I have been reeding your blog for a few years now as well as your homemade backpacking gear website and i want to thank you for hosting this contest.

Would definitely use this around camp! And I'm always losing my headlamp, so the builtin LEDs will help me find it in the dark!
Could become my one go-to tool for nightime repairs to guylines or smply lighting the way on a midnight trip to the latrine.
I would like to win it because I want to donate it to our Scout Camp Auction. The boys in the troop use scout bucks to bid on items. They earn scout bucks during the year by advancement, involvement and doing good deeds. The lucky bidder of this piece of equipment would take it with them on our camping trips and hiking.
It would be great use on backpacking trips and for use with my son's scouting adventures! You never know what things would need to be tinkered with in the dark.
I would actually use this everywhere. My 10 year old leatherman gets more use than ANY tool in my collection, pretty much 365 days a year. MANY times, I wish the light I was holding in my mouth, or strapped to my head, or just plain not there at all, was somehow IN the knife!

I currently carry two tools to do the job of this one tool. It would definitely help with all the Boy Scout Hiking I am currently doing.
The light combined with the pliers will be very useful when I needed to zip my sleeping bag when the toggle/puller brakes in the night.
Repairing gear usually only occurs at night so this would be gold in my view. :)

Unlike previous the previous comments, as awesome as this multi-tool is, I'd simply pack it in my pack to say "neener neener" at my husband any time I pulled it out. Because right now I have a really small girly multi-tool that just sits taking up room in my pack while my husband uses his whenever we need one, I'd simply want this to have an awesome multi-tool to rub in his nose!
I would use this multi-tool to replace a lot of items in my pack. The dual LEDs would be great to have since they can replace a bulky flashlight.
The knowledge that the light(s) is there is the simple reason for having it. Just knowing that if the crap hits the fan on my quest for the Catskill 3500s that I have not only a functioning tool, but also a dual LED . . . knowledge is power.

A led light in the tool would come in handy when we are on a scout campout and we are setting up camp after dark on a Friday night.

Here is just one example of how having a multi-tool with a built in light would have been extremely helpful to me in the past: Working on a broken down vehicle that blew a radiator hose in the middle of the night, by myself, and wishing I had three arms to hold everything OR just a pair of pliers with a light in the handle!
Handy tool to have around the house, you can never have too many flashlights.
This looks great for tight spots where you cant get your headlamp or torch in to see what you are doing but you can see it ( under the dashboard , under the hood of the truck , buckles and snaps when they jam ) cut , squeeze or snip great for any occasion .
These would be for my hiking/camping daughter if I were lucky enough to win. She's independent as all get-out and an avid do-it-yourself-er; she really roughs it when she's out in the wilderness. This multi-tool would have immeasurable value to her, especially when fumbling in the evenings setting up camp.
this would be very useful on the trial, especially the LED light since we always seem to be setting our tents up in the dark on all our Scouting trips.

Wow nice tool
Finally a multi-tool that can be used at night using ALL the functions. I have many things on my belt and being able to ditch my mini flashlight is a bonus. Plus this follows backpacker rules of a device MUST have more than one functionality and to be honest I was stretching for things my mini flashlight could do to make it OK to take.
As a scout leader and avid hiker I believe I could put this multi-plier to task all day, and thanks to the 2 LEDs, well into the night.
I'd most likely keep this tool in the car as breakdowns rarely occur at convenient times. Of course, it would go in the pack for backpacking and fishing trips. The LEDs would be handy for those night-time in-camp chores.
