Gossamer Gear Light Trek 4 Trekking Poles

Gossamer Gear Trekking Poles

I finally got around to reviewing my Light Trek 4 Trekking Poles from Gossamer Gear. These are hands down the best poles I've ever used and I'm saving over a pound by replacing my old Lekis with them.

At 3.2 ounces per pole, the Light Trek 4s are super light, ergonomic, and superbly designed. It's always a great feeling when you score a piece of gear that's pretty much perfect!

Like I said on BPL thanks for sharing and taking time to make that. Good poles. If I did not love my Pacer Poles so much I would be tempted to get those.

Well done on the review, now I need to think more carefully about these poles. I wonder if they will work with a Shangri La 3 as a tent pole or will they flex too much?

Hi Nielson,
They don't flex a lot and on the GG website, they show The One tent being set up with it so maybe it's OK. How high do the poles have to be extended on the Shangra La 3?

The attached loops are not designed to support conventional wrist straps, per info at GG website.

John,
Just curious, why do you like the Pacers so much?

Jason, are these still your favorite trekking poles? I'm shopping around for good, affordable, lightish poles.
